Part I             One or the Other

1.       Read Mark 10:6, Acts 14:15,17:24-26, and 1 Timothy 4:3. Did Jesus, Paul, and Barnabas believe that the account of the creation given in Genesis is a literal account?

2.       Carefully read Genesis 1:14-18. What was created to govern the length of the seasons, days, and years? In the mind of the writer of Genesis, what kind of day was each of the creation days, a literal, 24 hour day, or a figurative day lasting millions of years?

3.       According to evolutionary theory, even complex plants were the result of millions of years of evolution. What does Genesis say about plant life on the very first day that such existed? (Genesis 1:11-13)

4.       According to evolutionary theory, complex animal life is the result of millions of years of evolution. What is claimed about the origin of such in Genesis?

5.       Contrast the Biblical account of the origin of the first man and woman with what evolutionary theory claims.

6.       Contrast what the Bible says about the origins of clothing, farming, and marriage with what evolutionary theory claims for the origin of each of these.

7.       Is it possible to believe both the Bible and the evolutionists?
