Exodus (Adults)

Chapters 24-27

Lesson written by Daniel Wade

Nadab and Abihu are included in the initial group that worshipped the Lord, but are later struck down in Leviticus 10. Does it seem that they were evil men in Exodus 24? Does this show us anything about the idea that "good people" can go to heaven without following all of God's commands?

How do the people react to the reading of the covenant and the commands of the Lord?

How can we justify what occurs in 24:9-11 with what God told Moses in Exodus 33:20 that "no man can see me and live?

How long did the cloud of the Lord cover Mt. Sinai before He called Moses? How long was Moses on Mt. Sinai? What other Biblical events lasted this amount of time?

How were most of the materials for the tabernacle provided?

What was the purpose of the tabernacle? The Ark of the Covenant? Table of showbread?

What was the purpose of the veil in the tabernacle? What is the significance of the veil in the New Testament?
