About Us
Who We Are
The Oak Ridge church of Christ is a spiritual family striving to do the will of God. Our allegiance is not to any denominational affiliation or human teacher, but to Jesus Christ. We are fallen people doing our very best to lean on Him, serve Him, and serve others, as we find in Scripture. Our members gather from a wide area of East Tennessee, encompassing not only Oak Ridge, but Clinton, Knoxville, Maryville, Rocky Top / Lake City, Townsend, and Oneida. The Lord has blessed us with a tremendous amount of growth, and we do our best to be good stewards of that trust and commitment, endeavoring to spread the gospel and serve each other with zeal.
What We Believe
We believe that Jesus is the Son of God, not a created being, but one who was there from the beginning (John 1:1-2). We believe that he was born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, was crucified on the cross, was raised on the third day, and ascended into Heaven.
We believe that through the sacrifice of Jesus, and not because of our own worthiness, we can be restored to a right relationship with God. We believe one must hear, believe, repent, be baptized, and remain faithful, not because such actions earn our way into Heaven, but because this is how we call on the Lord and admit our need for Him (Acts 2:38). We believe that we are saved by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8), and that faith without obedience is no faith at all (James 2:14-20).
We believe that the Bible is the inspired and inerrant word of God. Because God is the ultimate authority, and the scriptures His inspired words for all of humankind, we rely on what God says through scripture rather than our own opinions or intuitions.

Worship With Us
UPDATE: worship for Sunday, February 1 is scheduled for 3pm. Bible classes are cancelled.
The main roads to the building are clear. The neighborhood roads several use to enter through the rear entrance are still mostly covered in snow. The parking lot is mostly clear of ice; however, spots with shadows are still ice covered. The sidewalks are clear but don’t fall on the salt! Please use your judgement on whether or not to venture out. Several have let us know they cannot get out and that is understandable and expected.
