The Passover Lamb and The Christ

Introduction: As Christians we know that Jesus is our ultimate example of perfection. There are also many individuals in the scriptures that we can look to as examples of righteousness, and thus did many things in ways similar to Jesus. We are in the midst of a series of programs that compares some of these individuals to Jesus. Some of these people were similar because their lives emulated His life; others were similar because events that happened in their lives corresponded with events in His life. In all of these cases we can see the consistency of the Scriptures and of God's expectations for His followers. For this study, however, we are going to compare not a person, but an animal with Christ. The Passover Lamb and The Christ!

In Isaiah 53:6-7 we see Jesus silent as a Lamb before the slaughter in order to die for all of our sins! Have you obeyed Jesus by being baptized so that you can access the saving power of the blood of the perfect Lamb of God? Galatians 3:23-29 tells us of the wonderful transformation you can make by putting on Christ in baptism. Jesus, the Lamb of God, paid the price for your sins so that you could have the hope of Heaven! Why are you waiting?

Our next live program is planned for Monday, January 6, 2014 when we hope to study “David and The Christ“. We hope to see you then on “Speaking The Truth In Love”.
